I block most people who show up on my feed. I'm not a big fan of anything written by leftists, women, homosexuals, conservatives, or Jews, which is about half of the content here.

I just started out yesterday, and my instincts told me to be a little sillier than I thought I should. Now, I came across this post. Maybe it's a sign :)

I hate when ppl do this! and they act like the “thinkers of their time” like if your peice is an original thought (what I would expect of a think peice) you shouldn’t pick it up from a single silly post that was done and written casually, go debate somewhere else, Im sure they need that energy

Silly doesn’t garner comments like poorly thought out think pieces. Silly fizzles in a vacuum on this platform. As a silly goose, this is a tragedy.

Yeah yeah, I second this. This is right. Although I’m not silly, on here, yet. I might be. Or will try to be. In the future. What I’m saying is, it’s a good thing to keep in mind. Yes. Thanks.

As someone who has been writing think pieces, I really appreciate this perspective. I try to weave in personal anecdotes and silliness. Writing on here is more for me, as in I don't think a ton about audience. But also don't want to contribute to this narcissistic culture where everyone has an opinion - I'm not sure if that's really avoidable this day and age (we all want to be valued and seen in a world where people feel increasingly devalued and unseen), but I would prefer it if I could avoid that somehow.

You said everything I’ve been thinking for months now!!! Also LOL my friend and I literally laughed about the same thing with white lotus. I still don’t know them besides Laurie. Jackie? But I knew the actresses names instead. It’s actually wild to me how that seems to be a common experience many of us had. 😂 thanks for putting into words what’s been irritating me too but much better than I would’ve!!

You’ve summed up a deep anxiety I’ve been carrying around recently about how everything must have a commentary from several different perspectives. As an analytical thinker, I enjoy engaging with it, but too much of it sends my brain whirring and sets my teeth on edge. X
